Crap. That sucks man. I am really sorry to hear about the diagnosis. Hope to see you out there running again soon.
In keeping with the analogy in your last post; THAT BITCH!!!Hang in there.
Wow, didn't see that coming. Sorry to hear the news. I guess at least knowing what the problem is/was can be a positive step. A year from now, you'll look back on this as just a bump in the road.Greg
In college I broke or badly fractured my inferior ramus of my pubis (I think that's what it's called). If that's not the same as your injury, it's at least in the same region. It took us a long time to figure out what it was, because the health center/trainers kept insisting that it wasn't a bone injury. I think I've since heard about 110m hurdler who had this injury.Like Greg suggested, I now view it is just a bump in the road, but it really sucked at the time. I lost at least nine months (and maybe even a year) of running to it, but I had a history of bone injuries which healed slowly, so hopefully yours won't take anywhere near as long. The good part of the injury was that 1) once it healed, it was never a problem again, and 2) I ran better than ever after thatI'm really sorry to hear this. Hang in there and good luck.
" Hey folks out there, it' night-time in the Dolomites and you are listening to WRUN 107.6 fm , the runners station, and the next tune, an historical favorite of mine that puts me in a good mood just thinking about it, goes out to Mario Fraioli, a running man in Massachussetts, who is going to have a lot of thinking to do in the upcoming days. And remember Mario: "Don't Stop" trying to look at the best of things, even at the hardest times... real tragedies have no limits... Enjoy..."
